Tax Levy

The Port of Tacoma levies a property tax (at less than the maximum allowed by law) that is only used for debt repayment, environmental projects and transportation investments. The tax levy is not used for Port operations.

Annual financial report

Published each spring, our annual financial report summarizes the previous year's accomplishments and provides detailed information about our financial status, including insurance.

Annual budget

Our annual budget document describes all aspects of our business, from a broad operational overview and the business outlook to budget details, the capital improvement program, plan of finance and environmental stewardship.

Statutory Budget

The statutory budget as defined in RCW 53.35.010 is to portray “the estimated expenditures and the anticipated available funds from which all expenditures are to be paid.” As a cash budget, the Statutory Budget shows “the estimated expenditures and the anticipated available funds from which all expenditures are to be paid” and is not used as an operating budget.

Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports

The audited report provides a thorough and detailed look at the Port's financial condition and is issued six months after the Dec. 31 year-end.
